Cabinet Painting & Refinishing in Innisfil, ON
We take the doors and drawer fronts off, degrease, sand, prime and spray them, and spray the boxes in place, so the kitchen looks new without a demolition. For builder-grade kitchens in Alcona and the solid 1990s kitchens by the lake that are worth keeping. You get a factory-smooth finish and a kitchen back in use inside a week.
What the Job Involves
Doors and drawer fronts come off, get numbered and leave with us. We mask the kitchen, degrease every surface, sand to break the gloss, fill the old hardware holes if the pulls are changing, prime with a bonding primer that grips laminate as well as wood, and spray two coats of cabinet enamel. Doors are sprayed flat on both sides. Then we re-hang, adjust the hinges and fit the hardware.
Doing It Without Dust in the House
The room is tented in plastic with an exhaust fan to the outside, and sanding is done with a vacuum attached. The doors are sprayed away from the house. The kitchen is out of service for the two or three days the boxes take, with the fridge and stove left reachable. A door swollen from a leak or a box that has come apart gets fixed first, or we tell you it is not a candidate.
What Affects the Price
The number of doors and drawer fronts, the material (laminate takes an extra prep step), whether the grain gets filled, and new hardware or old. Most kitchens do not need the insides of the boxes done. A backsplash or counters on the existing boxes can be priced into the same job.
