Flooring Installation in Innisfil, ON
We install vinyl plank, LVL, laminate and engineered hardwood. We make sure the floor is level and finished between each door and stairway.
What the Job Involves
Old flooring out, the subfloor screwed down where it squeaks, high spots ground and low spots filled, then underlay and the new floor. Vinyl plank shrugs off water and goes in most basements and mudrooms. Laminate suits bedrooms and halls. Engineered hardwood gives the look of solid wood with a core that handles our humidity swings. Baseboard, transitions and stair nosing finish it.
Basements and Uneven Floors
Every basement floor goes over a vapour barrier or a dimpled underlay, with the slab tested for moisture first, and vinyl plank is the only flooring we recommend below grade here. In a cottage that grew by additions, the floor changes level at every old doorway. We sister or shim the joists, plane the high spots, pour levelling compound across the low ones, and sometimes add a layer of plywood before the finish floor. The prep is what makes the floor look right.
What Affects the Price
Square footage, material, subfloor work, stairs, and the number of doorways. Removing tile costs more than pulling carpet. Material and prep are on separate lines so you can see what the house added. Flooring for a basement finish goes on that quote, and baseboard and trim are priced with the floor.
