Home Maintenance in Innisfil, ON

We come in spring and fall and work through the list that keeps a house out of trouble: eavestroughs, caulking, sump pump, weatherstripping, dryer vent, deck and fence stain, and the small repairs we find on the way. For owners who are done with ladders and the people at Sandycove Acres who want one person they know doing the outside work.

What a Home Mainenance Visit Covers

Outside: eavestroughs scooped and flushed, downspouts pointed away from the foundation, window and door caulking redone where it has split, weatherstripping, the deck and fence walked for loose boards, hose bibs drained in fall and tested in spring. Inside: sump pump tested, furnace filter changed, dryer vent cleared, alarm batteries swapped, fans and shutoffs checked.

Spring Starts With the Sump Pump

In the spring, it's important to check the pump, check valves, discharge lines, check downspouts, and the low spots on the lot where the melt pools. On a lakeshore property we also walk the dock and the shoreline for what the ice moved. The fall visit is the reverse, done before the cold sets the caulking.

What Affects the Price

The size of the house, one storey or two, the length of eavestrough, and whether there is a deck and fence to stain.

Home Maintenance FAQs

  • Can we book one visit instead of a schedule?

Yes. The standing schedule exists so the dates are already in the calendar, and you can cancel it any time.

  • Do you clean eavestroughs on a two-storey house?

Yes, with an extension ladder and standoffs. Three storeys or a steep lot down to the lake we look at first.

  • Will you install gutter guards?

Yes, the mesh type that clips under the shingle. Under heavy trees they still need a look once a year.

  • What if you find something serious?

We photograph it and give you a call.
