Deck Building & Deck Repair in Innisfil, ON

We build new decks on subdivision and lakefront lots, and we repair the ones the winter got to: lifted boards, loose railings, rotted stringers, heaved posts.

What the Job Involves

Footings below frost, pressure-treated framing, decking in pressure-treated, cedar or composite, and guards to code. Repairs are the same trade in pieces: boards pulled, a joist sistered, a post reset, a railing re-hung. We stain in fall or late spring once the wood is dry.

Permits and the Shoreline

A site plan is required for the town - depending on zoning and shoreline permitting. It's best to consult with the township directly to confirm nothing has been missed.

What Affects the Price

Size, height, footings, decking material, railing style and the permit costs. Composite costs more up front and however has nothing to stain after. A fence installation, or a seasonal staining visit can go on the same quote.

Deck FAQs

  • Does a low deck need a permit?

It depends on height and whether it attaches to the house.

  • Can you replace the boards and keep the frame?

Yes, if the frame is sound.

  • Will you put our dock sections in and out?

Yes, as part of a cottage check or an opening and closing

  • How soon after staining can we use the deck?

Forty-eight hours for foot traffic, about a week before furniture goes back on.
