Permits and Trades, Answered Before the Quote
Do we need a permit?
Finishing a basement does. So does a deck, with a site plan that shows the distance to the septic bed. On a lakefront lot a deck or shed can also need a shoreline permit and conservation authority clearance.
Will you do the electrical and plumbing?
No. In Ontario that work belongs to a Licensed Electrical Contractor and a licensed plumber. We mount the TV on the existing outlet and swap the faucet on the existing lines.

Service Areas
We work the whole town, routed by area so a basement in Alcona and a deck repair in Belle Ewart happen in the same week with no trip charge for either. Barrie's south end and Bradford by arrangement. We work both ends of Innisfil Beach Road, and communities at the ends of Sandycove Acres who want household repairs taken care of.

Do you charge to come and look at a job?
No. Small repairs are priced from photos. Larger jobs get a visit and a written quote within two business days.
Are you based in Innisfil?
Yes. Alcona, Stroud, Lefroy, Belle Ewart, Gilford, Big Bay Point, Friday Harbour, Sandy Cove, Churchill and Cookstown are our regular rotation, including Barrie and Bradford. No trip fee in the town.
Can you finish our basement as an apartment?
Yes, with the Town's accessory dwelling unit permit. Innisfil allows up to two units on eligible lots, except in Cookstown and with limits on septic lots near the lake.
How much of a deposit do you take?
None on small jobs, no more than ten percent on larger ones. You get a written contract so both of us are on the same page.
We are only at Lake Simcoe on weekends. How does that work?
A key or lockbox code and a phone number. We photograph before, during and after, and text you the set the same day.
